Weather Update

United States

The US is still in a wet pattern with cooler than normal weather in the forecast through early July.

         

 

Degree days are not predicted to reach the 10 year average into mid-July at least. The planted acres of corn did increase the week ending June 9, 2019.

However this increase is in June and places the crop in a later maturing and weather risk situation. The yields would be expected to decrease by 30 bu./acre.

 

Europe

Conditions have improved over southern Europe but dry weather has had an effect on winter crops across north central Europe. This pattern is also having an effect on spring and summer crops as well.

 

Russia

The Russian wheat regions have received scattered rainfall over the past 90 days.

Some areas have received higher amounts and these areas are forecast to continue with heavier rainfall.
