On a global basis, the most significant feed-borne mycotoxins affecting poultry production are aflatoxin and the many Fusarium mycotoxins. Determining the threat posed by feeding aflatoxin-contaminated feedstuffs is further simplified by the analytical techniques that are available. They are rapid, reproducible and sensitive.
